There is something going on south of the border, and I want to connect the dots . . .
I was at the meeting recently (OK, the other day) and my friend said his son, who serves in the US Army Special Forces, had finished his tour of duty in Afghanistan. I saw all the photos his son took, as well as the videos. He said the tour was mostly boring, with a few moments of terror.
And now - he tells me his son and the entire Spec. Forces Unit has shipped out to Columbia, on the border of Venezuela. OK maybe I shouldn't post this on DKOS, but hey, it's not like its TOP SECRET or anything. I mean, at least 10 people know about this. OK, he told me not to tell anybody about this, so naturally I had to tell just a few friends here on DKOS.
You see, I was reading about the coup attempt on Hugo Chavez and the man who was investigating who did it. His name - Danilo Anderson - and he was mudered November 19, 2004, by a bomb placed in his car. Danilo Anderson died when the C4 charge exploded in his car while he was making progress in an investigation on participants in the April 2002 coup d´etat against Hugo Chavez. The men who did it were caught, tried, and convicted. The attack was first planned against President Hugo Chavez but, as security for the leader was impenetrable, the decision was for Danilo Anderson, an emblematic personality of the Venezuelan Public Ministry.
But where did they get the C4 explosives from? Oh yes, the C4 was purchased in Cartagena, Columbia. So who supplied the C4? And the next question - why would the US pull the SF unit from Afghanistan and send it secretly to the border of Venezuela? Is the mission really Top Secret?
