Via Romanesko: a former reporter for the Richard Mellon Scaife newspaper (the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review) has written an article for the Pittsburgh CityPaper about his time there.
He writes in a very even-handed way, neither denying the publisher's wingnuttia operations, nor overstating them - in fact, he spends a good deal of time simply talking about working conditions.
Nor is he uncritical about the mainstream Pittsburgh Post-Gazette; he feels that both papers are not coping well with the changes that the newspaper business is undergoing.
Would be curious to know how area residents view his comments.
