We need to push that. It's simple, no subtlety to it, and people who pay no attention to politics could wrap their mind around that one.
So let's push that one:
Why can't this administration look into the eyes of the relatives of the victims of 9/11 and just say: "We're sorry. We made a mistake."
I don't see the Bushies ever doing this, and the meme could become a constant drip-drip theme in the media.
(NB: I agree that the actual point is not substantial from a policy point of view. I'm just talking pure politics and PR here.)
