Well I figured out which tree all the nuts are falling from tonight. One paid for by Tom DeLay and his favorite college/young republicans/top GOP lobbyist Jack Abramoff.
We last heard from Jack when he was trying to purchase an entire fleet of gambling boats in Florida against the fleet owners wishes- until the boat owner (Gus Boulis) was killed in a mob style hit. Eventual docking space was to be DeLays Marianas Island paradise. Please search this story- it's a fascinating and little known expose.
But back to this case. One of the leaders of the disabled protest group is one Carrie Lucas:

So where is the DeLay/Abramoff connection?
"Carrie was recently awarded a prestigious fellowship from Equal Justice Works. Equal Justice Works awards around 50 fellowships each year to lawyers who are starting innovative public interest projects. Carrie's fellowship is sponsored by Greenberg Traurig, LLP, one of the largest law firms in the country.
At the beginning of March Carrie traveled to Miami to attend a conference at Greenberg Traurig for all the past, current, and incoming fellows. She met some amazing people doing fabulous public interest work, and was put up in a fancy hotel with first class service. (Yes she was impressed with the fancy hotel -- turn down service, slippers set out, the whole nine yards.)"
What about Greenberg Traurig? Why.. this is the law firm for which Abramoff is lead GOP Lobbyist.

And I suspect with the 'assistance' Carrie has provided on the Schaivo case that Carrie can expect a great deal more 'first class service'.
Maybe even a trip to the Marianas..

About the Boulis, DeLay, Abramoff nightmare.
