...but, hey, he deserves it.
I posted this in another diary as a comment, but I started thinking about Kerry more and more this morning, and just kept getting madder and madder. See, I live in Massachusetts, so I and many of my fellow baystaters have quite bone to pick with Kerry...
Simply put, he's pretty much regularly done nothing for the Democratic cause since around 1996 (when I started paying attention) as far as I can tell.
It's absolutely absurd. Kennedy is getting old, is not in the best of health, has been through more wars with the Repugs than Kerry would care to count, and he's still swinging for the fences for us. And that's his job, especially since he's from the safest of safe Dem states (federally-speaking anyway).
The fact that Kerry hasn't done the same, but instead has put his tail between his legs when it has seemed politically expedient (witness his complete folding after the Saddam capture), has really pissed off a lot of people here in Mass. The latest rumor is that Robert Reich (former Clinton sec. of labor, candidate for Mass. governor, and all-around wonderful, hard-hitting, take-no-prisioners Dem) is pondering challenging Kerry for his Senate seat in 2006 if he doesn't become President. THAT would be a campaign I'd work for almost has hard as I'm working for Dean's right now.
For bonus points, there's a tangentially-related poll for you to chew over...
