A potential political drama is taking shape on how the results from the Iowa caucuses are reported, with the Iowa Democratic Party taking issue with the media making use of entrance polling in their reports:
Democrats: Caucus poll reports risk inaccuracy - Iowa Democratic Party officials warn entrance polls could result in 'a firestorm of confusion.'

If the major media outlets report entrance poll numbers, this could make Dean the perceived winner of the caucuses, because all candidates would of course be included, even if they do not get 15% support in each precinct. This would benefit Dean in that supporters of minor candidates who might jump to someone other than Dean won't have their second choice noted in an entrance poll. Given how long it can take to get the results tabulated given the nature of the caucuses, what we're told the caucus results are may be more important than what they actually are.
