I had not heard about the Edwards-Kucinich bargain until dKos'ers noted it, and I read about it in Ryan Lizza's posts at TNR.com.
I just don't see how Kucinich folks go Edwards, but maybe I have a blindspot on this one. And again, I do think Edwards could be the big surprise tonight. He has the weakest of the four organizations, which is bad, but it is also why people are counting him out. As I also said, Gephardt is "dragging" people out and they may defect to him.
The Zogby poll preferences on caucus-goers SECOND choices (with Dean at 13%) does not bode well for Dean, by the way. So again, his "ones" have to be solid "ones," and ample to survive the horsetrading that's going on, if any, and the last-minute changes of heart among Iowans delivered by Gephardt's team and the Michael Whouley-led Kerry machine that arrived late on the scene but did what it could in a short period.
