I was browsing along and I came upon an interesting article posted to
The Moderate Voice, a political blog which I frequent due to it's lack of BS... It calls out a few political Predictions made by the
California Psychics in regards to what will happen in the upcoming year. I feel it necessary to make my own comments:
* There will be another terrorist attack planned between April and May 2006 in NYC.
* The American Troops start to pull out of Iraq in September.
* Another Supreme Court vacancy occurs in 2006. Ruth Bader Ginsburg will step down for health reasons.
* Dick Cheney will have a massive heart attack.
* George W. Bush will become very ill and out of commission for several weeks. He will be laid up and in a health care facility of some sort. This information will be "leaked" to the press but denied by the administration.
* The elections coming up in 2006 will bring a major shift in those who are in power.
* The Iraq war will end midyear but a shake up in the capital will cause even more problems in Congress.
* Though the war in Iraq "ends", an intense campaign for all young men to register for the draft is launched and military units continue to be deployed and re-deployed throughout the year.
* Barack Obama will announce his intent to run for President.
* Osama bin laden will be found and captured in 2006.
They have been predicting Terrorist attacks in NY since 9/12/01... We'll see. I am very hopeful that American troops will be pulling out of Iraq next year, and I think that it will be a little sooner than September. The only problem is that President Douchebag will send more troops to "maintain democracy" or whatever. Dick Cheney is due for a pretty wicked heart attack. "W" probably will not become ill, but the administration would deny it if he did. I can see the '06 elections shifting power back to the left. And I think that the liberal Blogosphere should get the credit on that one. The Iraq war is never really going to be over, but the President will at some point claim that we have won... again. Barack Obama should run for President, but I don't think he will... Too much Hilary. And as far as the Osama thing... Are we still even looking for him?
The Moderate Voice also posted a few other links to some political predictions made by others. I am tempted to make a few of my own:
* Jesse Jackson will make some news... Whether we want him to or not.
* Michael Moore will make another movie, offend some right wingers, and be declared a "threat to national security" by Mr. Rumsfeld.
* Michael Jackson will have more allegations of Child Molestation... (That's not political, but it will happen.)
* President Bush will pull some kind of daring stunt to attempt to regain his approval ratings... With luck, it will fail miserably.
* Congress will get one more "humanitarian" emergency legislation "ala Terry Schiavo" session before the Dems take back over in November.
* Jon Stewart will win another Emmy... Or else I will be pissed.
And that's what I think will happen. Anyone else have any predictions?
