There, for the sake of a few thousand votes, go I.
Many conservatives, from gun owners to small business owners to (gasp) the health industry realize that an interfering government, a partisan court, and NEW activist judges could, both immediately and in time, hurt them more than help them.
Republicans - No, we need a new name, since they are not Republicans .... Theocrats are willing to abuse the balance of powers to meet their needs. Theocrats are willing to trample states rights to achieve their objectives. Theocrats want a partisan court that will vote their way. Theocrats want activist judges who will interpret and extend the Constitution in such a way that it would make the most liberal activist judge roll in his grave.
Theocrats who recently had been calling for the removal of liberal judges now cry "We must get rid of them all!" Theocrats don't want a constructionist court, they want a court which votes their way. They want not the rule of law, nor the rule of the majority, but the rule of the most strident.
I don't know enough about the remaining judicial nominees, but I would feel that this is a time for all reasonable people to say that good conservative judges have been appointed. A few questionable ones remain. Is it not in the benefit of all to have a reasonable conservative court?
