I'm not advocating anything here, it's actually only a scene from a screenplay I recently read, but what if some guerilla groups around the good ole USA took it upon themselves to smash all the Diebold machines currently in storage.
Now that would garner some headlines and break the dam wide open as far as putting their usage into question. The debate would rage on cable talk shows non stop for awhile.
Plus, Diebold would take a hit financially. So the plot is that just days before the 2006 elections, the Diebold machines stored around the country, which had been previously located, are smashed by underground guerilla groups. With no alternative, paper ballots are reintroduced at the last minute.
Pretty good.
