The Political Teen is
running a poll which I think is interesting. The question is:
Do you think people like Cindy Sheehan help or hurt the anti-war movement?
It is sad that his results will be skewed by his right wing readership... But here is my take:

I believe that ultimately people like Cindy Sheehan help a movement, of any kind. They are igniters, instigators if you will. And while Cindy Sheehan may not have started the anti-war movement in this country, she is definitely doing a lot to further it. Also, while she can sometimes be a little "over the top" with her comments, it seems that her heart is in the right place. If Cindy Sheehan's son would not have died, I am sure the anti-war movement would have still gone on strong. But since that absolutely horrible circumstance was placed on her, she decided to accelerate the movement in her own way. So yes, she is helping the movement. And people are starting to jump on the wagon, as you can see from
this weeks protests: As thousands gathered, even though
the right won't admit the numbers...
I am interested to hear what others think...
