The Newfoundland Court of Appeal just ruled in favour of same sex marriage in Newfoundland and Labrador! This marks the 7th province to legalize this. Seven down and three to go. All we have left is:
New Brunswick - where the evangelical Atty.-Gen. is actually going to try to contest the case, so the case may take a few more days than elsewhere.
Prince Edward Island - where no one lives! (ie: 100,000 in the whole province). They could probably win it instantly there too, but it maybe a challenge finding a gay couple there who wants to be the plaintiff!
Alberta - the one province that is fighting this tooth and nail.
But as of today 87% of Canadians live in provinces where same sex marriage is legal!
