After watching the work the blog world has done to fight the corrupt media cronyism and corruption in the Bush Administration. And looking at Josh Marshall and the AARP's attempts to use the blog world to keep people in the know about democrats and republicans who don't support (for R's) and do support (for D's) Social Security Reform. I was wondering, why can't we expand this watch dog group in a different way. I know that there are some blogs out there that already do this. Like Sully Watch a blog that basically unloads on Andrew Sullivan for all of his hypocrisies and stretching of the truth. But why can't we do that all over the board. Make a website or form a liberal interblog committee that gives one blogger an assignment to cover a certain journalist or democratic senator and congressmen. And the whole purpose of that, will be to fully cover all the happenings with that person. To keep us fully aware of what they are doing, and if they are being republican butt-boys (or girls). And to make sure our democratic party representatives don't get away with anything.
I mean...or maybe if someone was REALLY good. They could become shadows for the republicans. And they could make website for their republican representative or senator. And keep a running tab of ALL their stupid remarks and awful legislation. And we would have a storehouse of ammunition on the web to help fight these people. And not let THEM get away with it.
Just an idea. I mean for all I know, it may already be in the works. But to me it seems like this is just one aspect of many blogs, whereas most blogs seem to focus on everybody not specifically one journalist, one senator, or one representative.
What do ya think...??
