After posting days earlier of my political website Easter Lemming Liberal News being blackholed in Google Search results as a result of their new anti-blog program - search results now seem to be back to last year.
It is too soon to tell if this is permanent or even a universal result. Google has several search models it uses and you may not get the same engine each time you run a search.
This is particular ironic for me as I had prepared a long post how my banishment may have been as an anti-spam campaign of Google's gone awry. They are or were banishing sites with too many links from comments in an effort to stop comment spam. For several years I had been posting comments on political sites and when name and url was requested I provided them. I had decided that was the problem and was wondering if I could get Google to fix it in my case. They may have done it on their own.
This is doubly ironic as I was going to change my site from a usually daily digest of progressive links to more infrequent longer articles. When I started there weren't many sites that attempted to keep their readers informed of progressive news available online. There are too many to mention now. My site disappearance from Google search results reinforced that decision.
The fact that I am back in Google results hasn't changed my mind, however. The Liberal News Digest is closing soon, long live Liberal News non-digested.
Easter Lemming Liberal News ex-Digest
Possibly #3 on Google for 'liberal news' for a short while longer.
