The Iowa Electronic Market, uncanny in its ability to pick winners, has pushed Dean's stock to an
all-time high in a surge that puts Dean above 50%, the first time any candidate has passed that threshhold. The highest price any other candidate has fetched is Kerry's 35 cent valuation in Fedruary of this year, when trading began.
Dean experienced a previous spike when he appeared on the covers of Time, Newsweek and US News the same week in late September, but Dean's stock fell right back when it became clear that Clark would enter the race. Clark entered the race at about 32 cents, tied with Dean, but Dean's been on a steady rise ever since, with Clark experiencing the mirror opposite effect.
