Watch the rebroadcast of Hardball tonight. Near the end of the show, about 50 minutes past the hour, there is a segment with two mothers of soldiers. The red haired mother speaks eloquently against the war and our duty to protest it.
She even mentions the Downing Street Memo. The other mother (blond), whose son was injured, gives the usual 'we have to support the troops and support our president' stuff. The redhead mom, was so beautifully calm and heartfelt. She pointed out all the ways that the Bush administration is not supporting the troops - that her son was killed doing a job he wasn't trained for, that he was in an unarmored vehicle, that soldiers even have to pay to do their own laundry.
She said much much more. You really have to watch it.
