That is the media message that he's pushing anyway--he's finally on the air, and he will rebound as a result. Except, um, of course the Rep party and various corporate interest groups have been running ads for him for months and he's been tanking anyway. But whatever.
He's got two ads up. One talks about his 'reform agenda' and I think is surprisingly inept. It has four 'average' Californians talking about the special election and why they're voting. They seem cranky and uninspiring. It is interesting to me that Schwarz isn't in this ad...he used to be everywhere. The other one could actually be used as a testimonial by Schwarz's plastic surgeon. The camera moves tight around his face as he talks directly to the camera; there is no motion in his lifted face as he speaks. This one is technically better but politically worse; it reminds voters that "Mr. 31%", as in popularity, is tied to these 4 initiatives, thereby dragging them down.
