New York Times has a picture of the national debt clock in New York City. It shows 6.71 trillion dollars of debt. However,
according to the Treasury, the debt on 9/30/2003 was 6.78 trillion dollars. The national debt as of
right now is 7.01 trillion dollars. Why is the NYT using an old and inaccurate picture?
