Good evening fellow Kossacks!
I'm happy to announce that The Carnival of the Liberals is now showing over at Neural Gourmet. By tomorrow, the circus atmosphere should be twice as nice, as Neural Gourmet will also be showcasing The Carnival of Bad History. Don't be too anxious now, since like I said, the Carnival of Bad History won't be showing until tomorrow.
For those who do not know, blog carnivals are a collection of blog posts within a certain time period, about a particular subject...for example, The Carnival of the Liberals is about...drum roll please....us! Liberals, liberalism, who we are, what we stand for, and what those other guys do that piss us off to no end sometimes...or should I say all the time?! Blog carnies move around from site to site, just like real life, and from what I've heard, they're almost as much work to run...but well worth the effort!
What makes The Carnival of the Liberals so special? Please join me on the flip side to find out.
Unlike many blog carnivals, The Carnival of the Liberals is a bi-weekly event, showcasing the cream of the crop. The host for each event personally selects what he/she feels is the best of the best, from entries submitted by liberal bloggers all across the internets. Being selected is a great honor, and likely leads to a significant increase in traffic and visibility for the bloggers chosen.
This edition's host, TNG, has selected 10 blogs for their outstanding contributions towards the liberal blogosphere, revolving around subjects such as the spooky, neverending War on Christmas, and the constant lies and distortions from those evil bastards on the far right. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if Bill O'Lielly himself showed up, since he's the Supreme Commander of everything that we liberals have come to loathe about these nuts.
As I mentioned above, Neural Gourmet will also be hosting the next quarterly edition of The Carnival of Bad History. Now this one's really cool...full of outrageous historical inaccuracies, and the people and places responsible for them. I haven't had the pleasure of attending a sneak preview, but I wouldn't be surprised if Bill O'Lielly showed up here as well, although Ann Coulter-man could definitely give him a run for his money.
See you at the carnival!
John
