Since the morning of Sept. 12, 2001, I've had a pretty firm idea that Flight 93 did not crash due to the heroics of its passengers. Despite strenuous mythmaking by press and government at the time, it is plain that the U.S. government shot the plane down and a decision was made to promulgate a cover story of passenger heroics.
How do I know? In New York, at least two local stations showed TWO separate smoking holes in the Pennsylvania countryside that night. The only way that could happen is if the plane broke up in midair. And the only way THAT could happen is an explosion (or rocket) onboard.
The next day, video of that second smoking hole vanished, never to be seen again.
Now Donald "The Army You Want" Rumsfeld has inadvertently revealed the truth:
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A comment Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld made during a Christmas Eve address to U.S. troops in Baghdad has sparked new conspiracy theories about the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
In the speech, Rumsfeld made a passing reference to United Airlines Flight 93, which crashed in Pennsylvania after passengers attempted to stop al Qaeda hijackers.
But in his remarks, Rumsfeld referred to the "the people who attacked the United States in New York, shot down the plane over Pennsylvania."
A Pentagon spokesman insisted that Rumsfeld simply misspoke, but Internet conspiracy theorists seized on the reference to the plane having been shot down.
...What other secrets of 9/11 are being hidden from the American public?
