Is it just a coincidence that prison abuse and torture has become a problem under Bush? There was evidence of similar behavior by prison guards in Texas when Bush was Governer there. It got national publicity, but no one blamed Bush for it, even though Bush had a very harsh stance toward prisoners, including a very harsh approach to using the death penalty.
And Bush says he will veto the McCain bill, passed 90-9 in the Senate, which would ban torture by Americans, and require following the Geneva Conventions.
Now, we have the worst torture abuse scandal in the history of the republic.
Is it just a coincidence? Or is it.....?
