A Former Kerry Girlfriend Makes Media Splash (down), who dated John for four months in 1990-1991, while a grad student at Harvard, both were single then, has become a media comet at the moment, with the Wash Times Moonie Rag and Drudge Nudge Report and LA Times all reporting, and the woman, not knowing what she was getting herself into, even made a website with lots of revealing Kerry memorandums, which i think are cute actually, and quite american pie, but now she is having second thoughts about her website but she doesn't know how to take it down.
Her name is Lee Whitnum, ala Lee Roystone (???), an aspiring novelist who says she dated Kerry between his marriages in the early '90s, told the New York Daily News:
"All I can tell you is that John is 100 percent male. John would whisper French phrases in my ear. I would say, 'Speak to me in French!' and so he'd do it. I don't know what he was saying. I don't speak French," she said.
She writes:
Hi! I'm Lee Roystone.
I wanted to share with you my John Kerry memorabilia. I can't
believe I still have it! It was all in a box in the attic. It's been a very
long time.
I began dating him when I was a Harvard graduate student and
he was a first term senator. I worked part-time at Earth Day and
he was the Senate sponsor. I met him at the Earth Day press
conference with the American Lung Association. I was in his
world for 20 months. We were both single. For me it was
interesting and significant.
I hope you enjoy my mementos and get to know him a little better.
He is a wonderful man and he is the best man for the job out of
anyone anywhere. It is important that we all support him with our
time and with our money. Donate to: www.JohnKerry.com
Vote for John in November! The pictures and items on this page

John and me at the Earth
Day celebration party. We
were so happy that night -
we had worked so hard for
three months and Earth
Day was a huge success!
Little did we know that a
woman he'd met earlier
that very day would wind
up becoming his wife.

August 19, 2004
I will be removing the John Kerry
scrapbook - I just can't right now. I
worked so hard on it. I took off some of
the controversial stuff.
I just finished weeding through 500 hate emails from Republicans
and Democrats. Ouch. Also, I'm dealing with the reality that I had
16,000 hits and absolutely zero book orders. I realized that this
was an experiment that did not work. Please think of this like that
episode of Dallas that was all a bad dream.
I thought it would work. I worked so hard and spent so much
money. I was so sure that I'd sell some books, buy a house, not
have to spend the next twenty years in a windowless cube making
shit pay and living paycheck-to-paycheck. Silly me.
Whatever.
Tomorrow the Herald article comes out and the LA Times. I'm
sorry - it was before i realized this was a mistake. Hey everyone is
entitled to a bad day and a crazy idea.
All those nice media people who called and wanted to put me on tv.
Thank you. That was kind of you but if doesn't sell books and it
exposes me universal scorn with absolutely no benefit, then what is
the point?
I still think John is the best man for the job. Vote for John!
Later:
I went to remove my scrapbook but I couldn't. I know that it looks
silly that I still have all this stuff but I honestly didn't even look in the
box for over a decade. I'm just one of those people who keeps
stuff. I even have my fourth grade report card. It doesn't mean
anything.
Enough said.
