IL Kossacks: Obama unaware of DC march? Call to make sure he knows.

Posting this on behalf of michelina and synesthete, who are off the grid for now.

During a meeting of Code Pink activists in DC tonight, it came up that someone who was present at Barack Obama's weekly constituent breakfast asked the Senator whether he planned to attend the anti-war march this Saturday. Obama's response (and apparently this is a direct quote): "What march? Is it in DC?"

We know Obama's pretty busy, but we can't believe that he was completely unaware until today that the biggest anti-war march in awhile is happening this Saturday in DC. Let's make sure he knows! Please call Obama at his DC and Chicago offices to make sure he's aware of Saturday's march. DC: 202-224-2854; Chicago: 312-816-3506.   Is Senator Obama Saying that none of his aids even mentioned that a rally of Vietnam Era significance was going to he held?  In the city where he works?   Just some blocks away from his office?  

  And that at it's center is a woman that captured and gave voice to our imagination, idealism, hopes, anger.

  A simple brave mother that brought tears of joy, pride and admiration of an entire Nation at the sight of indomitable human spirit and sweet love.

  She has been consistently on the top stories of the day for frigging 6 weeks, since leaving Camp Casey II has been announcing her trip to DC to be at  this rally, it's all over the papers, web and electronic media, it is even in the right wing media in the form of attacks and he hasn't heard about the march?

  Can it be possible to be this isolated?  Didn't friends or members of his family ever discussed or even mentioned it in his presence? Other Senators?

  "What march? Is it in DC?" Did he went further to say that now that he knows he will be there for sure?

  Dare I say that he is
   a) Lying or,
   b) by omision calling an aid, friend or family member: uninformed, unconcerned or in the case of an aid, inept.

  Are any of the Senator's aides or friends listening?
  Is it true? Nobody told him about the Rally?

  Our Democrats don't lie! Do they?

  What is their excuse for not speaking in support of, or attending?
