While looking at the
Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee's website, I peeked into what was going on in IN-09. I don't live in Indiana, but I couldn't help notice the primary going on between former Congressman
Baron Hill and
Gretchen Clearwater. All I know about these people is from what I saw on their websites. Here I think we have a perfect summary of what is wrong with the Democratic Party, and what can be so right about it.
I ask that you visit both websites. You can see that former Congressman Hill is running a campaign solely on name recognition and absolutely no issues. Hell, there isn't even a page for issues. Now compare his website to
Gretchen Clearwater's. Here we see a woman who knows what she stands for and isn't afraid to say so. I think that she is by far a better choice for Congress than Mr. Hill.
As a disclaimer, I understand that Hill has a better chance at winning in 2006. I also understand that I am a North Carolinian and have no real business commenting on IN-09's race. I also understand that I don't even know these people.
But yet, I comment.
