Oh thank God.
Scooter Libby has a new job.
I was worried he might get his car reposessed and be forced onto welfare.

Lewis Libby Joins Hudson Institute
Lewis Libby, former Chief of Staff to Vice President Richard B. Cheney and Assistant to the Vice President for National Security Affairs, has joined Hudson Institute as a senior advisor. Libby will focus on issues relating to the War on Terror and the future of Asia. He also will offer research guidance and will advise the institute in strategic planning.
"Scooter Libby brings decades of experience to Hudson Institute that will strengthen our robust research efforts. We look forward to drawing on his expertise," said Hudson Institute Chairman Walter P. Stern.
Libby first entered government service with the United States Department of State in 1981 as a member of the Policy Planning Staff in the Office of the Secretary. From 1982 to 1985 he served in the United States Department of State as Director of Special Projects in the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs. Libby also served as the Legal Adviser to the U.S. House of Representatives' Select Committee on U.S. National Security and Military/Commercial Concerns with the Peoples' Republic of China, commonly known as the "Cox Committee."
During the George H. W. Bush administration, Libby served in the United States Department of Defense as Principal Deputy Under Secretary (Strategy and Resources), and later was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Policy.
Prior to joining the George W. Bush administration, Libby served as the managing partner of the Washington office of the international law firm of Dechert, Price & Rhoads. He was a member of the firm's litigation department and chaired the Washington office's Public Policy Practice Group.
This is exactly the kind of place you would expect to take in poor Scooter while he licks his wounds.
This "think tank" is your typical right-wing revolving door advocating forced marriage for poor women who receive welfare, faith-based government, and deregulation of all industries.
My favorite Hudson Institute publication is, I kid you not,
"Saving the Planet with Pesticides and Plastic"
Have a good rest, Scooter. We're glad you didn't have to take that job as a greeter at Wal-Mart.
