There was a great moment on Howard Stern's premier on Sirius this morning. About an hour ago, Stern had a press conference (even Keith Olbermann was there), and one of the final questions was about the limits of indecency and what Stern found indecent.
Stern said he felt it was indecent that soldiers were sent to Iraq without proper equipment. He felt it was indecent that Bush lied to get us into war. He said it was indecent that gay people, who should have every right to live their lives openly in this country, do not have every civil right that straight people have. He said it was indecent when religious organizations complain about sex in the media and then sweep molestation under the rug by relocating clergy to other parishes. I am sure I am missing something in my paraphrasing, but it was a great moment.
Of course the boob of a reporter followed up by asking, "But what about bodily functions?" Stern followed up by saying it was indecent that we were so hung up on bodily functions.
