Just finished watching a fantastic TV program on UK TV (Tuesday, 9pm on More 4), called 'Beneath Iraq and a Hard Place', written and presented by the UK political satirist Rory Bremner. Well worth seeing if you can get hold of it. More details below....
Wow. That was a pretty amazing program. Essentially an hour long catalogue of the errors and crimes of the entire post-invasion process, from corporate corruption of Halliburton through the entire military debacle and the political farce.
Intercut with sections of an alternative history of the last 3 years - a 'what if' of Tony Blair refusing to send the UK into the war.
I'm not a regular poster, but this really moved me to share with all you non-UK folks. And I'm not normally one to recommend downloading of programs, but if you happen to find this in cyberspace, it's WELL worth downloading, recording, and showing to anyone with any doubt about the morality of the war and the Bush Administration.
It does contain some fairly frank and shocking footage.
