Where to begin? The referees in my opinion decided this game:
The Seahawks had two touchdowns scores removed from the scoreboard due to highly questionable penalties. The instant replay on Big Ben's TD run clearly showed he was short, but the referee let the call stand after further review. The 15 yd penalty on Seattle QB Matt Hasselbeck for a 'clipping' which was obviously a clean tackle attempt. Seattle was penalized more often for greater yards than Pittsburgh which suggests that the Seahawks were under greater scrutiny.
If these questionable calls were not made by the referees, the Seahawks might now be champions. I can not help but wonder if the NFL were biased toward a Pittsburgh victory due to the Steelers having a huge fan base, Bettis's retirement, and Cowher on the verge of victory?!
What do you think?
