As Caesar was warned of his own demise and did not heed that warning, so are the American people going the same way. You can all squabble all you wish about elections and the like, but this is what is real.
More below.
On March 14 in 44 BC, Julius Caesar was on his way to the Senate house. He had previously been warned by a soothsayer (and as Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar recounts it, warned by his wife Calpurnia who has seen his death in a dream) that to go there would put his life in danger, but he did not heed the warning. He passed a soothsayer on his way to the Senate house and laughed saying that the Ides of March had come as if he had beaten it... to which the soothsayer replied that it was not over yet. Upon entering the Senate house, he was greeted by Senators including Cassius, and his friend Brutus, who proceeded to surround him and then stab him with daggers until he lay dead and bloodied on the Senate floor. Caesar did not take heed of the dire warnings of his demise, and it
led to the downfall of the Roman Empire.
Such is now the case regarding Iran and the United States. Dire warnings have been given about military intervention into this country that are not being heeded by the dictators of the United States, nor the people. In March of this year, El Baradei is to give his report of Iran's nuclear program. There is no doubt he will call for sanctions against Iran, who will then take their sabre rattling one step further, and so it goes. Bush is now also scheduled to go to India in March, and I believe it is to set the stage for an alliance. The war is coming, but we the people are now not heeding the warnings by those who know history, and I do fear that it will lead to a global catastrophe of untold proportions.
Iran is not an imminent threat to the United States (though of course any nuclear country is a threat to global security) it is a threat to the United States, Israel, and all other countries in the Middle East and Europe interested in controlling the oil supply. That is exactly what I believe this is all about... Controlling the oil in a peak oil economy, because whoever controls that controls the world.
It is not about Democracy, because in Iran, there have been groups of young people struggling to gain freedoms with no help from Washington DC. There has been no engagement of peace, only sabre rattling to war. It is the New World Order come to life. And as we know, this regime does not care about who is killed or what methods they must employ to see this plan completed.
From the ENRON scandal all the way up to the current NSA domestic spying program, the pieces have been put into place. Why do you think the "warrantless" spying program was implemented by fiat in the first place? To catch terrorists? If so, the proper warrants would have been procured and the law followed. No, the "warrantless" spying program was implemented more than likely to track the dissent of anti-war and peace groups and other dissenters to this regime's policies in order to know who to push on for this coming war. Make no mistake about it, they are determined that there will be no dissent with this war to end all wars coming.
Halliburton has also gotten the contract to build "detention centers" around this country, for "immigration problems" as the excuse was allegedly given. And it is also said that pressure is being put on any Republican who dares to even think of going against Bush. And this is just on the domestic front. Take a look at the current violence going on in Europe and Asia over cartoons published of Muhammed. Rice is now saying the rioting could get "out of control." Is that what they are hoping for? Were some of these riots set up? In order to have a pretext for war, you must arouse feelings of hate in those who are to be the pawns. Bush wants Europe on his side in any confrontation with Iran, especially since his "coalition of the willing" in Iraq was really non existant. It all fits into their pretext for war.
Iraq was just the dry run. Iran could be the end.
Beware The Ides Of March
This well written article brings forth exactly what is in play now and really makes all the squabbling about elections seem petty. We are headed for a conflagration of catastrophic proportions NOW unless we act. People then ask, what can we do? Well, this is why so many were giving warnings to people even before Bush stole the 2000 election. We had the foresight to see where allowing him to steal that election would take us, and now, here we are. Just as Julius Caesar was cocky enough to think he was invincible and that those he trusted would never betray him, so have the American people fallen for the same deception.
What to do about it? Pray, and hug your loved ones everyday and hope you survive what is coming. For it appears at this point that is all we are even WILLING to do, as those who were handed this power on a silver platter by us seem to hold all the cards and will continue to be allowed to hold them. Hearings on domestic spying will do NOTHING to stop this. Only arrests, and citizens getting out in the streets in the hundreds of thousands to show the world they truly care about this country. However, we won't see that, and they won't tolerate it. Face it, the camps are being built, they still rule the roost, they control our elections, and they also have their fingers on the buttons to destruction. And we have no one to blame but ourselves.
And if that sounds too "miserable" for some here, well, reality sometimes is. You should then have been a bit more outraged yourself, rather than criticizing those of us who saw the reality. Of course, we can always hope that sanity will prevail, but then, that seems to have been a lost cause these last few years as well. The words Al Gore spoke on January 16 was not a campaign speech. It was about THIS, yet no one is now really heeding that warning either. And yet, people wonder why men like him do not want to run for President. What more evidence do you need? Beware the Ides of March I fear is now set to take on a whole new sinister meaning. Whose demise will it be this time? You answer that question yourself.
