Why is Bush afraid of the Indian press?
In advance of his upcoming trip to India, Bush has chosen a small group of handpicked newspapers to meet with. As is customary before a foreign trip, U.S. Presidents meet a roundtable of
journalists from the host nation.
Bush won't have it. Instead, he has instructed his team to carefully select certain papers. One can guess why. Is there an equivalent to FAUX News in New Delhi?
Consistent with his refusal to face the public or the press honestly, Bush demands staged press events and fake news conferences with a pathological need to control public opinion. Even in India.
The problem is, "the truth will out." Bush's poll numbers continue to plummet even as Rove and company spent 1.6 billion on advertising and public relations over the last thirty months.
Perhaps it's time to dip into the budget and hire a few PR firms in India, too.
