The George W. Bush Administration really does beat all. Scared of its own shadow is that collection of dimwits.
I have an MA in theology from a local Catholic school of theology. A friend of mine is a woman who attends the same school as the one where I finished this degree. A few years ago, she lost her husband, a military guy, to a cardiac problem. My friend and her husband had a son. This son is now in his 30s and suffers from autism. Unable to process in the world in a way that allows his independence, the young man continues to live with his mother.
My friend and her son had an adventure this past Saturday at the White House. The autistic young man, the son of my friend, has an acquaintance who arranged for my friend and the young man to take a tour of the White House: a simply tour of the Executive Mansion. My friend submitted all the requested information for herself and her son and a confirming e-mail was issued. My friend and her son arrived at the White House, but their names were not on the list. After a long wait while the Secret Service agent went back and forth, my friend learned that her autistic son had failed the National Agency Check. Imagine that! An autistic man in his early 30s is a threat to national security. How do I know that? The George W. Bush Administration tells me so.
