Now I'm getting just a little upset.
People here throw around terms like "Flower power left" and "hippies" a little too freely and insultingly.
I would like to remind you johnny-come-latelies to the anti-war movement that:
I enlisted in '63, in the regular army, got out in '66, became a hippie, and marched against the war in Viet-nam.
I was in many, many peace demonstrations. I got arrested in Berkeley.
I marched a bunch of times at the beginning of the Gulf war, and also the current Iraq war.
I still wear the same peace symbol; I haven't changed.
If it wasn't for the "flower power left" there'd be NO peace movement.
Only you should get down on your ignorant knees and thank your lucky stars that we're still here, Mr Gray Suit. I probably bought my first peace symbol and got insulted for it while some of you were in diapers.
But then you'd have to admit that the hippies were right about that too.
and if you're a hippie, RECOMMEND THIS DIARY!
