Hi,
It's time to visit colleges with my son, and I'm looking for advice. It's been a long time since I was a student.
He's most likely going to end up majoring in engineering, chemistry, physics or math. He's really good in math. (Tests out at 99th percentile and has since... forever.) He got a 720 in math on his SATs early in his junior year, which should easily get him a 770 or higher when he takes it for real next year. He's in AP Chem right now and setting the curve in a very tough private school.
I'm not worried about him getting in, just looking for some inside info. on schools that are strong in his major. If he had to pick right now, he'd head for a school with a 3/2 engineering program, probably in chemical engineering.
Anyone working in the field who an point us toward colleges in North or South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia? Somewhere in there? I want him to be happy, not worried about him working hard enough, wouldn't mind at all to have him surrounded by liberals.
