Democrats are winning the 'Rubber Stamp' frame, at least in Minnesota. My proof? The chariman of the MN GOP is using it to attack Democrats, Barack Obama specifically. From the Minneapolis
Star Tribune:
Republicans aren't as giddy. Minnesota Republican Party chairman Ron Carey on Friday called Obama "a rubber stamp for left-wing Washington special interests."
Interesting, since Democrats can't rubber stamp anything.
Barack was in Minnesota attending a fundraiser for Senate Candidate Amy Klobuchar.
This is a frame that works in greater America. We need more instances like the one a couple of weeks ago, where Democratic members of Congress demonstrated how congressional Republicans were literally rubber stamps for the administration.
We need our candidates to work this phrase into their stump speeches. We need to keep pushing this point in our Letters to the Editor.
Oversight could be the issue that wins us the both the House and Senate in 2006. Everything can housed under 'oversight.' The war in Iraq, Katrina, the Plame scandal, Homeland Security, deficits, etc. Oversight is the 'moral values' of the Democratic Party.
