A new poll out from Wiscinsin Public Radio & the St. Norbert College Survey Center (I haven't seen this diaried, so here we go). The headlines:
http://www.wpr.org/...
- Jim Doyle leads Mark Green 43-35%, with 14% undecided & 6% going 3rd Party/Independent
- Democratic Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager & her Primary opponent Kathleen Falk are tied at 24%, with 27% undecided
- Lautenschlager would beat either GOP AG candidate, and Falk would as well, albeit by slightly smaller margins
- margin of error is +/- 5%
- 57% are "satisfied (very or somewhat)" with Doyle's job, and 50% feel the same about the GOP-controlled Legislature.
Lots of information in this poll, but some other notes:
- Paul Bucher is leading J.B. Van Hollen in the GOP AG race, but it's 15% to 6%, with 42% unsure, so put next to no stock in that poll.
- Lautenschlager leads Bucher 40-27% and Van Hollen 40-23%
- Falk leads Bucher 35-25% and Van Hollen 37-21%
- Doyle's job approval continues to fall (it's been in the 60's in the other polls taken during his term, albeit falling with most surveys taken)
- the biggest reason: "very satisfied" is at an all-time low (6%), and "very dissatisfied" is at an all-time high (15%)
- Taxes & Budget are the biggest concern of voters (26%), but that's the lowest that number's been since 2000, and Health Care (10%) is at an all-time high
