It is high time that we all get onto the phone with our congressional representatives and demand that congress enact more tax cuts for the oil companies to encourage them to look increase the supply of oil, and ultimately drive down prices.
Obviously bribing the public is futile, (or perhaps Mr. Frist's $100 was simply too small of a bribe)...

Obviously bribing the public is futile, (or perhaps Mr. Frist's $100 was simply too small of a bribe). In my book, I don't think that the public will budge on this, unless their $100 becomes more like $10,000.
Regardless, the public will not ultimately find any oil, and they will simply pocket that money, unlike the oil companies who will simply give it to their executives for a "job well done", so ultimately we are better off giving the money to the oil companies.
So...Everyone...please...contact your representative to demand more tax cuts for the oil companies before it's too late.
