"You know, I've experienced many great moments and it's hard to name the best," Bush told weekly Bild am Sonntag when asked about his high point since becoming president in January 2001.
"I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound (3.402 kilos) perch in my lake," he told the newspaper in an interview published on Sunday.
Bush, however, did speak about his worst ever moment.
Bush said the worst moment was September 11 when hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Centre in New York and the Pentagon in Washington.
Yeah, Sept. 11 was pretty bad huh, Mr. President? The way you froze when you heard we were attacked, how you failed to do
anything other then sit there like a deer caught in the headlights, and when you finally did start to take action, you let the man responsible get away, and when people started realizing that failure, you decided to just hop into another country. That held out for a bit longer than the first bad guy, but now that people are getting pretty sick of that, you're talking tough on yet another guy!
Bet you were just out on that lake again, in front of the camera, teeth a' shinin', and a little perch wriggling on that hook.
God, that must've made you feel powerful, huh, Mr. Bush? At least then, you could say you "caught the big fish!" But...it wasn't really the big fish, was it?
Yeah, 9/11 was one of the worst days of my life too.
