(From the diaries; DarkSyde. Huge score, thanks to Gina and all the YearlyKos volunteers!)
I am delighted to announce that, it is official, - Governor Dean will be speaking at YearlyKos!
From Governor Dean:
"When I was running for Chairman last year, I said that we would take our country back, state-by-state, precinct-by-precinct, block-by-block. I also said that we would build up our party's strength, from the grassroots up, through the Internet and person-to-person outreach. The netroots have been an important part of this process and I am grateful for your continuing support. YearlyKos shows Washington why the Internet is such a vital part of rebuilding our party and I'm looking forward to attending."

For Immediate Release
From the Blogosphere: Gov. Howard Dean to speak at the YearlyKos convention in Las Vegas June 10.
Howard Dean, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, will speak to YearlyKos Convention attendees and respond to their questions during a morning session on Saturday, June 10, 2006.
With his 50-State Strategy geared toward developing a robust Democratic presence in every state and region, Gov. Dean's efforts are being met with great interest from the progressive community. Bloggers and other members of the netroots are leading the way in using technology to educate, inform, and motivate citizens, and Dean's program underscores the need for citizen participation.
"There's no doubt Howard Dean inspired many in the netroots to become more involved in bringing real democracy not just to America, but to the Democratic Party as well," says Markos Moulitsas, Daily Kos founder. "While establishment consultants and politicians in Washington D.C. continue to snipe at him inside the beltway, Dean's appearance at the YearlyKos Convention should remind everyone that there are legions of good patriotic Progressives strongly supportive of Dean's efforts to build a truly national Party."
During his campaign for the presidency in 2004, Gov. Dean used the Internet as an organizing tool, enabling his supporters to reach many voters and recruit many supporters that they would otherwise not have had the opportunity to meet.
Gov. Dean says "When I was running for Chairman last year, I said that we would take our country back, state-by-state, precinct-by-precinct, block-by-block.
Involving the grassroots and the netroots is key to resolving the problems facing America today. Gina Cooper, YearlyKos executive director, says that "Governor Dean inspired a new generation of activists with his people power message. Regular people are seeing the need to become active participants in the democratic process, and are doing the hard work needed to make the American Dream accessible to all. They are doing this by promoting American values of opportunity, fairness, and investment in people and the future, and the blogosphere is providing an efficient means for us to do this. We are thrilled that Gov. Dean will join us as we take netroots empowered democracy to the next level."
The YearlyKos Convention is proud to offer the opportunity for an important discussion between Progressive leaders and blogosphere netizens.
