For those of you who like to study polls, I offer this link to the
Union newspaper in the Nevada City/Grass Valley area of Northern California. The combined populations of both towns is less than 20k, I believe. They are in Rep. John Doolittle's (R-likely to be indicted) district.
Scroll down the page to the poll on the NSA, and you can choose to view polls going back several months, as well.
I haven't really been up into that area for a few years, but some friends used to own real estate up there that we camped on frequently and we used to go into Nevada City for coffee and dinner a lot. Full of small business, touristy shops and eccentric individualists. I once had a patient in the area who warned me that "if there's a bear in the yard, just honk your horn and it will go away". There used to be an enclave of white supremacists in the vicinity, but I'm not sure how influential they are.
These polls, which are far-ranging and cover both national and local politics, are interesting and at times surprising.
As a bonus, if you go to the main paper LTE section, you can read a citizen's complaint about Doolittle's planting campaign signs on her property without asking.
