Yes, we were attacked on the homeland. Yes, a lot of Americans were killed. Yes, we feel sorry for the families of the victims.
The attack was like a kick in the gut for every American. How dare they? Who do they think they are? We are America! Nobody dares to attack America. Who could be so evil, so stupid as to attack America?
We are told it was the Taliban! The Taliban? What's a Taliban? A bunch of religious fanatics from Afghanistan. Afghanistan? Where is that? Why would religious nuts from there want to kill Americans? Because they are religious nuts who make their women were sheets over their heads with holes cut for eyes and stone them if they don't obey all men. Because they think everything American is evil and they will go to heaven if they kill us.
O. K. Makes perfect sense to me, religious nuts, religious cults, we've dealt with them before. We can again. And pretty much we did already.
Did we get everyone in the world who would like to do something to change America? No, of course not. But supposedly we did get most of the people who planned the attack on us and we are still looking for the rest.
We have been attacked before. The Klan bombed and burned churches, killed people, hung people. Our own religious nuts bomb abortion clinics, kill people. There was the two men who were shooting people from their car, then there was Oklahoma City and the Federal building. Those are different, you say. Why? I bet the victims families don't see the difference. I bet if you could ask the victims they wouldn't see the difference either. They were all just innocent people going about their everyday lives when some nut killed them. It could just have easily have been you or I.
So why is Sept. 11, different. A good percentage of Americans have been brainwashed by our government. Every sentence from the mouth of anyone in this administration plus every Republican has a reference to 9/11. Blah, Blah, Blah 9/11 Blah, Blah. Blah 9/11, blah blah. Makes me want to vomit.
It's as if they are saying Blah, blah, blah, be afraid, blah, Blah, be afraid, blah, blah.
If I were going to be afraid. I would choose something more real. Like the traffic I drive in every day with half the people on cell phones. Like hearing that Haliburton was given a contract to build a bunch of prisons here in the U.S. (Who are they for? People like me?) If I were going to be afraid it would be of my own government. Even the Democrats after confirming Hayden without a fight.
I read diary's and comments by people wishing that the Democrats would grow some backbone. The American people are the one's who need the backbone.
Sept. 11, 2001 is in the past, a part of our history. It's over, and nothing we do can change it. So!
Get over it already. Call your Congress people and the white house and tell them enough already. We don't want to hear it anymore. We are over being intimidated by the reference, over being intimidated by a pseudo cowboy who can't find a 6-foot woman beater on dialysis.
