WASHINGTON
The National Park Service is adding the remaining missing names to the Vietnam Memorial here beginning today. In addition to four US soldiers' names, the missing names of more than 2 million Vietnamese who gave their lives will be remembered, alongside almost 58,000 names of invading soldiers. The alleged attack in the Gulf of Tonkin, the "domino theory" of spreading Southeast Asian communism, and every other reason given for the unprovoked attack and occupation of Vietnam have proven to be lies. In contrast to the U.S. soldiers, the Vietnamese deaths were not in vain, since after 30 years they succeeded in fending off the attack.
The added names will be read in memorial of every brave soldier and innocent civilian who died. By reading 10 names each minute continuously, the Memorial ceremony will end in mid December, and as the remaining names are added, the Vietnam Memorial wall will be extended to Delaware.
