If you haven't emailed or voicemailed your Senator yet to speak up about the constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, I implore you to do so today.
The Human Rights Campaign has done all the work for you. All you have to do is visit their Action Alert website, and in just 10 seconds, you can send a pre-written email to your Senators.

Special thanks to Aravosis for developing the list. Note the single Democrat -- Ben Nelson -- siding with the Rethugs.
You can also access your Senators' emails and websites here.
If you leave a voicemail for your Senators, as I did, may I suggest rattling off all the issues not being debated while this trash legislation takes up one of the Senate's few working days. You know the list.
An Important Note:
We're all hearing pundits and media types saying that this amendment has no chance of passing. Thankfully, that's probably true. But it's still extremely important that your voice be heard. The louder we are, the more likely we can get this issue to die once and for all. And with Bush throwing his support behind the amendment (again) in the Rose Garden tomorrow, this is our chance to toss him another defeat, thereby angering the "Family Values" nuts prior to the November elections.
For those of you taking action -- especially our straight friends -- you have my sincere thanks.
