vote. Here are the bios of six more candidates:
Dave Loebsack
David is running in the 2nd Congressional District in Eastern Iowa. He teaches political science at Cornell College in Iowa and has been a Democratic Party activist for 22 years. In 2004 he was a local leader for Governor Dean's presidential campaign. David is committed to reducing the domestic budget deficit through the reversal of Bush's tax cuts. He supports an increase in the minimum wage to help the working poor.

Larry Grant
Larry is running in the 1st Congressional District in Idaho. Born and raised in Idaho, Larry made his way to Columbia University and then the University of Denver Law School. As general counsel to Micron Technology, Larry initiated the first ever semiconductor antidumping case which ultimately helped lead the way for the U.S.-Japan Semiconductor Trade Agreement of 1986. Larry will work to ensure that our jobs earn us a living wage and that every child receives a quality education.

Jim Hansen
Jim is running in the 2nd Congressional District in Eastern Idaho (including Boise). He served in the Idaho State Legislature from 1988 to 1994. Since then, Jim has served as the founding executive director of Idaho's permanent progressive coalition United Vision for Idaho. He is only accepting contributions from individuals with a maximum of $100 per person. If elected, Jim's priorities will be clean elections through voluntary public financing, protecting federal land and water, and creating an actual prescription drug benefit plan.

Dan Seals
Dan is running in the 10th Congressional District in Illinois. He attended John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C., where he received a M.A. in International Economics and Japan Studies. Dan has called for a responsible withdrawal out of Iraq. He will work towards a national, portable and affordable basic health insurance.

John Pavich
John is running in the 11th Congressional District in Illinois. After working for the CIA for 2 ½ years as a counter-terrorism officer, John returned home in 2005 to run for Congress. Prior to his service, John assisted the defense team of Biljana Plavsic, a case that resulted in the first-ever plea agreement in the history of the War Crimes Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in the Hague. In Congress, John will use his experience in the CIA to
strengthen our national security by appropriately funding our soldiers and working to enable our intelligence services to effectively do their jobs.

David Gill
David is running in the 15th Congressional District in Eastern Illinois. David has served his community by volunteering for Planned Parenthood, running a social group at a nursing home, and coaching youth sports. If elected, his top priority will be to reform healthcare financing through a single-payer plan in order to provide adequate care to all Americans. He supports stem cell research and increased availability of emergency contraception.
