This is the first of the DailyOutrage blog's outrage polls. Each Sunday, the favorite outrage of the previous week will be tallied and posted in full (the pukes are usually busy on Sunday, posturing in front of a pulpit somewhere, so outrages on Sunday are rare). If you want to be alerted whenever there's an update, either subscribe or email to the address on the next line and I'll e-mail you when updates are posted.
After the fold, I'll list the outrages that have been picked from ones that have either been mailed to: EmailDailyOutrage@yahoo.com or that I have selected.
Today was actually a very slow day, outrage-wise. In the previous week, we had a virtual cornucopia of travesty, so while I'm more than happy that it's slowed down, it makes for a rather boring poll, today.
I'll be more than happy to, one day, close this blog, but I fear that when the Dems get into power, the travesties, while lessening - dramatically, in frequency and effect on the world - will, nevertheless, continue. So, if you're ready...
Up first, we have a selection from Nancy (posted to OpenDebateForum@Googlegroups.com) about
Michael Savage, the mouth without a mind. Is it me, or does this guy LOOK like a child molester who's just made a score?
Conservative talk host Michael Savage says liberals could turn Zarqawi "into a hero even though he killed thousands of people and was arrested for sexual molestation in Jordan. ... He was an altogether piece of human offal, you know. He was like a [Rep. John] Murtha -- he was like a human Murtha." (audio clip in linked article)
You know, I'd really like to see Michael's service record, wouldn't you? (ooops! He never served!) Hell, I'd like to see his list of meds; I think they need adjusting! Does this man actually go around in public, unescorted? Aren't there laws about that??
Next up, from Nancy (again, but this time from her group at: ImpeachBushNOW@yahoogroups.com), we have this gem, garnered from TPMMuckraker:
Pentagon Watchdog Owns Cabin With Rumsfeld Pal
By Justin Rood - June 12, 2006, 9:45 AM
Although House Democrats have hardly been united in recent days, some are still capable of acting in unison. One excellent example: the Dems of Armed Services Committee, all 28 of them, have banded together to push panel chairman Duncan Hunter (R-CA) to reinstate a special subcommittee dedicated to oversight and investigations of the Pentagon.
The panel was shut down under the Republicans, they say, and it's high time to restart it. Hunter, however, is mightily resisting the idea.
Any wonder why? Set aside his own troubles as a target in the Cunningham fraud investigation. According to POGO, Hunter -- who's never been a particularly toothy watchdog of Pentagon activities -- has for several years co-owned a cabin in rural Virginia with a Rumsfeld confidante and senior Pentagon official.
Be sure to click on the link and get the rest of the scoop (and please, don't shoot your PC or kick the cat; the Repukes will soon be gone, Diebold willing).
Lastly (see? I said it was a slow news day!) comes this piece from Steve Soto and posted to DailyKos@yahoogroups.com, but this link is to his original post. And, please pardon me for including a pic that Steve has in his post, but it's just too rich not to recall this special moment in our nation's history (and pardon me while I go puke):
Yeah, the ass that McCain is kissing there is the same one that slimed McCain and his wife during the 2000 primaries, which makes McCain the ultimate flip-flopper and ass-kisser.
But... back to Steve's article. Where to start? Basically, Steve's headline covers it:
McCain Now Blames Social Security, Not Tax Cuts For Growing Deficits
Steve also has links to some interesting documents to back his article and to demonstrate what an worm McCain is, and also documents BushCo's re-attack on Social Security.
Good job, Steve!
And just so you know, this is probably being monitored by the NSA; just ask Opus!
Have a nice day, and please recommend this diary if you liked it.
Thanks.
