That's my
bumper sticker pitch (I figure, it's like Marcos's
elevator pitch, but shorter).
Specifically, it's what I've rehearsed to say if someone comments on my bumper sticker. Mine says, "Strickland for Governor." My pitch for BAD comments:
- THEM: You're voting for a LIBRUL?
- ME: So you're voting for a BLACK white supremacist?
And if they're not bigger them me, add, "Uhhh. Don't you think people will think you're a wee bit CREEPY?"
(Below the fold: So what does YOUR bumper sticker say? And what's your pitch? And poll.)
To that they will respond with denial and bluster, but I'm ready: Last March Ken Blackwell spoke at the
Council for National Policy, which has racist roots; including, it was formerly headed by Tom Ellis, who was director of the Pioneer Fund; which was created to scientifically prove "white racial superiority."
I also have a pitch for GOOD comments.
- THEM: Nice!
- ME: Hey we have a progressive radio station in Central Ohio! WTPG 1230 AM.
Off point maybe, but it's a quick thrust to bring them into orbit. Maybe mention DKOS. Maybe; local progressive groups. Maybe where to get their own Strickland sticker.
Georgia10's current diary urges us to build a philosophy from/for our pitches. Here I'm just throwing out a simple reminder: GET THOSE BUMPER STICKERS! And prepare to defend them.
So what does YOUR bumper sticker say? And what's your pitch?
