I want to make sure this community has a chance to listen in on a call the DGA has put together with Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm and Oregon Gov. Ted Kulongoski. This is a great opportunity to hear about America's energy future by focusing on how Democratic governors are leading the way toward energy independence.
Call time: Thursday, June 22nd at 1:45 p.m. EDT/10:45 a.m. PDT
You can RSVP and submit a question here.
While there won't be time to answer every question submitted, the governors will respond to as many as possible. I'm looking forward to the questions that we get from the DailyKos community -- I know that you've been following both of these governors pretty closely.
Gov. Granholm has made significant investments in renewable energy sources to help secure our energy future, create new jobs and reduce the price burden on families in Michigan. Gov. Kulongoski has made moving Oregon toward energy independence a top priority, expanding incentives for working families to use solar cells and established energy efficiency standards for commercial appliances and equipment.
We're really excited about this call since it isn't that often that two governors can jump on the phone at once. So I hope you'll take this opportunity to join us and hear what they have to say.
