As of 6/27/06 11:14 AM, 8 more Kossacks said they had dumped their NSA-collaborating telecom (who sold their customer data to the National Security Agency).
The "Have you dumped" poll is at
http://www.dailykos.com/...).
The story includes alternatives to the bad boys.
The continuing "denied future business list" includes
AT&T, down 4
Verizon, down 2
BellSouth, down 1
SBC, down 1
For a total of 8 x $30,000 = $240,000
Added to the $1.5 M in denied future business, that's $1.72M
across the canyon....
An interesting feature is the number of respondees (9) who are stuck with, or feel they are stuck with, their bad-boy telecom. Do they really not have alternatives, or are they just not aware of them?
I'm not even going to speculate about the 3 who apparently want a police state. Either they are being ultra-snarky, trollish, or are sadly deluded.
New suggested alternatives are (see comments) Working Assets Wireless and something called Sage, which I know zilch about.
