One of the underutilized tools available to a low budget candidate is advertising in the local newspapers. Sections that provide local news have the highest readership of any part of the paper, and the readers are high-propensity voters.
In the extended copy is a draft of a print ad that could run in local papers if
John Laesch has the cash to get his message in front of voters in a cost-effective way. Visualize this as a newpaper article with a headline and a picture of a massive tudor waterfront vacation home. Small print acknowledges that it's an ad.
If we want to crash the gates without the bubble-boy consultants from Washington, we need to give tools like this to candidates like John.
All comments are welcome, and I also urge you to give some money to the hardest working campaign in America, that of a true patriot who inspires us all..

Help Denny Hastert Realize His Dream of a
Luxury Retirement Vacation Home in Wisconsin
No, Denny doesn't need your help financially. He's made over two million dollars in profits selling land that just happened to be next to a future exit on the Prairie Parkway. He used that profit to buy hundreds of waterfront acres in Crawford County, Wisconsin. And he'll have two government pensions, so he'll be raking in over $100,000.00 a year from the taxpayers with a cost of living increase every year. His kids are out of school, with one making the big bucks as a K Street Washington lobbyist and the other a graduate from law school with a limitless future profiting from knowing the right people to create the big money that is "Hastert Family Value".
What Denny needs is the time to spend building and enjoying his new vacation home - time he doesn't have when he's busy in Congress figuring out how to make more personal profit while he drives the rest of the country into bankruptcy. Denny needs time to carve more duck decoys instead of doing the hard work of selling out Medicare and Social Security so drug companies and investment companies can make massive profits.
If you want to help Denny realize his dream of finally getting out of Illinois to the luxury house in Wisconsin, there's one thing you can do. Vote for John Laesch for U.S. Congress.
John Laesch may not be as clever as Denny. He served his country in the Gulf War, instead of figuring out how to dodge the draft like Denny Hastert did during Vietnam.
John Laesch has a brother on active duty in Iraq, so he doesn't see American troops as pawns in a political campaign or props for Republican photo ops. He won't vilify decorated veterans and military leaders when they try to find a way to bring our soldiers home from Iraq instead of continuing an indefinite occupation with permanent bases in Iraq.
John Laesch isn't nearly as good at raising campaign contributions as Hastert. John cares more about health insurance for Walmart workers and low prescription prices for Walmart shoppers than he does about billions of dollars in tax cuts for Sam Walton's heirs.
But enough about the need for American values like patriotism, honesty, integrity, and common sense in government. What's important are "Hastert Family Values", and letting Denny take his profits to Wisconsin. Help Denny retire. Vote for John Laesch.
