You guys need to know that this is my first live blog, so don't get the redass if I am slow.
I met some of you out at the Yearly Kos convention in Las Vegas. It was cool. Too bad I pissed off that guy Thomas Schaller. He really wrote some terrible things about me, but none as bad as what he wrote about my people.
I was asked to put in this blog what is my personal philosophy regarding politics. For me, it is rural America first. Party second. That is not saying I am not a Democrat, but only as far as the Democratic party serves my people.
I think honest and lively debate is healthy in political parties.
We are at a political crossroads in America. Are we, as Democrats, going to seize the very ground that the Republicans have held without resistance for the last 30 years OR shall we continue to smoke our cherry pipes and pontificate on how all is lost in the South and Heartland?
I have faith in candidates like Jim Webb who have shown they have the background and the ability to bridge the cultural gap that has divided this country for way too long.
That's all I have to say. Shoot me some questions, and I will answer them. Also, please take a minute and give a few dollars to Jim Webb, the perfect bell cow to lead the Reagan Democrats home.
