AP NEWS ALERT:
ATLANTA (AP) - Former Christian Coalition leader Ralph Reed concedes defeat in Georgia's Republican primary for lieutenant governor.
Well, I guess I am almost sorry we won't have Ralph to kick around in the November election in Georgia.
more from AP:
It marks a stunning turnaround for Reed, who had entered the race as the seemingly invincible front-runner. Dogged by questions about Abramoff, Reed faced a surprisingly strong challenge from state Sen. Casey Cagle.
The numbers so far:
AP) - 2,729 of 3,147 precincts - 87 percent
x-Casey Cagle 190,696 - 56 percent
Ralph Reed 150,087 - 44 percent
Looks like the end of the line for the former GOP golden boy.
